Minding YOUR Mental Health - Exhibition Manchester Printworks
Yesterday, on May 12th at 12pm, actress, comedian, and mental health advocate Ruby Wax unveiled an event aimed at supporting mental health week, entitled The Feeling Ceiling at Manchester's city centre; The Printworks – an interactive digital experience designed to spark honest conversations about emotions. As their website puts it: Ever asked yourself, “How’s the weather in your head today?” Ruby Wax’s Frazzled has launched The Feeling Ceiling – an interactive digital sky on Europe’s largest ceiling screen (900m²) at Printworks. It uses weather-inspired visuals to reflect your mood and get people talking about mental health. Tap a touchscreen to choose how you’re feeling – anxious, stressed, tearful, brainfoggy – and watch clouds, lightning or rain bring it to life above your head. A sunny sky shows how a chat with Frazzled can brighten your day. Look up, pause, and start the conversation. The installation transforms Europe’s largest digital ceiling into a living sky of emotional weather, with shifting visuals, light and sound reflecting real-time moods. Visitors can choose a weather symbol that represents how they feel, ending with a hopeful glimpse of blue skies ahead. Ruby Wax, founder of Frazzled, launched the experience and met visitors to champion open mental health dialogue, and was featured in the ITV's Granada Reports evening edition yesterday:
You can find the Print Works in Manchester City Centre, by going to The Print Works visitor information pages website for directions from train stations, via bus, car, or tram.
